All vehicles go through a rigorous examination and safe wash and afterwards we set about a strict set of decontamination steps to remove tar deposits and iron deposit build up and it was no different when it came to this stunning VW Caddy. The brief was simple on this.. Remove all scratches, fill in any chips or marks and get it coated asap!
Once these steps have been completed we then thoroughly rewash the vehicle and dry it off. We then under the correct lighting access the correction levels required and set about removing defects and refining the paintwork until a brilliant lustre remains and all signs of damage is removed! This Caddy was no different and while it looked great in the shade it looked unsightly with marring and webbing in the paintwork in direct lighting!
We then use specially formulated shampoo products that remove all polishing oils from all the paintwork and plastics. This is critical to the application of the Ceramic as it means that there is nothing between the coating and paint work that may interfere with the bonding process. The final step is the application of a primer to ensure that the Ceramic is going to adhere correctly.
We then wipe all of the panels down with Feynlab Panel Wipe and recheck the paintwork and plastics for any issues or defects. We then applied the customers choice of ceramic which was Ceramic Lite 1 Year protection to the bodywork and applied plastic restorers where needed. All Ceramic coatings are cured in a temperature controlled and humidity controlled environment and are cure using Infra Red technology to ensure an excellent crosslink between the ceramic coating and the paintwork.
The customers chose Feynlab Textile for Fabric Protection of his seats and Wheel and Caliper for alloy wheels that were on the van as well as the spare set of 19” Veeman wheels and brake calipers!
All in all a very rewarding job for a customer who is VERY picky about the quality of everything that goes onto the van whether it be paintwork, wheels, bodykits or in this case the finest ceramics available.. You guessed it Feynlab!
