Ferrari Testarossa 

Following from the work that was completed on the Ferrari 458 “Speciale” we had a call from the customer asking if we could go to a location and see what we could do with a new purchase –  an iconic Ferrari Testarossa! After speaking with him at said location we had a lengthy list .
The car was only a shell so to speak, as the engine was removed for a full strip down and rebuild to ensure it was in correct running order ( can only imagine the cost of that!). The front and rear suspension had also been removed to be rebuilt so we started off by completing a deep clean on all the inner arches at the front and cleaning the interior of the front compartment section under the front bonnet.  We continued our work by washing the wheels that had also been removed and deep cleaned them by using a tar remover and followed this process by allowing an iron remover to dwell and break down the iron deposits . We then washed the wheels clean and coated each wheel with Feynlab Wheel and Caliper and thoroughly cured the wheels using our mobile Infratech INFRA RED lamp which will protect the wheels for many years to come.

Moving to the back we then had the painstakingly slow process of removing all of the years of grease grime and oil build up from all of the engine bay. When this was finished we then masked off all the paintwork on the car and painted the engine bay and cross brace that helps with the car’s stability with a high temperature paint. This gave a new lease of life to the car and will look spectacular when the engine is reinstalled into the car again.

Finally the engine was steam cleaned and degreased before the rebuild takes place which will make the engine bay look brand new when the engine is reinstalled.

There was a few long days work in this however it really looks the part now and after we were finished it was repainted and was sold before we could get a coating on it such was the desirability of it. A truly unique and iconic car that has aged so well over the years. It was a pleasure working on it and I’m sure that there will be many more to come.
